Appointment of a major archepiscopal vicar for the archeparchy of Ernakulam-Angamaly

The Synod of Bishops of the Major Archepiscopal Syro-Malabar Church has elected Archbishop Joseph Pamplany, metropolitan of Tellicherry, India, as vicar of His Beatitude the Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, India. Archbishop Pamplany will maintain the pastoral care of the archeparchy over which he presides.
