The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the metropolitan archdiocese of Vitória, Brazil, presented by Bishop Dario Campos, O.F.M.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Ângelo Ademir Mezzari, R.C.I., as metropolitan archbishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Vitória, Brazil, transferring him from the titular see of Fiorentino and the office of auxiliary of São Paulo.
Curriculum vitae
Archbishop-elect Ângelo Ademir Mezzari, R.C.I., was born on 2 April 1957 in Forquilhinha, in the diocese of Criciúma, in the State of Santa Catarina. He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Faculdade Nossa Senhora Medianeira in São Paulo-SP and in theology at the Instituto Teologico Pio XI in São Paulo-SP. He attended a course in journalism at the Universidade Federal do Paraná in Curitiba-PR and obtained a licentiate in dogmatic theology from the Faculdade Nossa Senhora da Assunção in São Paulo-SP.
On 31 January 1981 he gave his religious vows in the Congregation of Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus, and received priestly ordination on 22 December 1984.
He has held the following offices: formator of philosophy students and parish vicar in Curitiba-PR, formator of theology students and director of the Socio-Educational Institute in São Paulo-SP, director of the Institute of Vocational Pastoral Care, provincial counsellor, provincial superior of the São Lucas Province, and superior general in Rome. In addition, he has been president of the Municipal Council of Social Assistance in the city of São Paulo-SP, supervisor of the Department of Vocations and Ministries of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (NCBB) and of the Latin American Episcopal Council (CELAM), parish priest of Nossa Senhora das Graças in the diocese of Bauru and member of the College of Consultors of the same diocese.
On 8 July 2020 he was appointed titular bishop of Fiorentino and auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of São Paulo, and received episcopal ordination the following 19 September.
Within the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, he is chair of the Episcopal Commission for Ordained Ministries and Consecrated Life, and member of the Economic Board.

Curriculum vitae
Archbishop Murray Chatlain was born on 19 January 1963 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Divinity from Saint Peter’s Seminary in London, Ontario. He was ordained a priest on 15 May 1987 for the diocese of Saskatoon.
He has held the following offices: pastoral minister in various parishes of Saskatoon, including Saint Paul’s Co-Cathedrsal, Saint Michael, Saint John Bosco and Immaculate Heart of Mary (1987-2000), chaplain at City Hospital, at Bishop James Mahoney and Holy Cross High Schools, and Guadalupe House (2000-2001), pastoral minister in the parishes of Kindersley, Marengo and Dodsland (2002-2005) and in the diocese of MacKenzie-Fort Smith in Black Lake and Fond-du-Lac, and parish priest of Saint Patrick in Saskatoon (2005-2007).
He was appointed coadjutor bishop of the diocese of MacKenzie-Fort Smith on 23 June 2007, and received episcopal consecration the following 14 September, taking on the governance of the diocese on 10 May 2008.
He was appointed metropolitan archbishop of Keewatin-Le Pas on 6 December 2012.
