The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Daniele Salera as bishop of the diocese of Ivrea, Italy, transferring him from the titular see of Tituli in Proconsulari and from the office of auxiliary of Rome.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Daniele Salera was born on 23 July 1970 in Rome. After attending the Roman Seminary, he was ordained a priest on 21 April 2002.
He was awarded a degree in sociology from La Sapienza University of Rome and a licentiate in spiritual theology, and attended a course in Science of Formation Science for Formators at the Higher Institute for Formators (ISFO), affiliated to the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
He has served as parish vicar of Santa Maria Madre del Redentore in Tor Bella Monaca (2002-2008), teacher of Catholic religion (2003-2008), educator at the Roman Major Seminary and chargé of the Diocesan Catechistic Office (2008-2014), vice rector of the Roman Major Seminary (2014-2016), parish priest of San Frumenzio in Rome and ecclesiastical assistant of AGESCI for the City Centre area (2016-2022).
On 27 May 2022 he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Rome, receiving the titular see of Tituli in Proconsulari, and was ordained on the following 29 June.
