EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION
IN MEMORY OF THE CARDINALS AND BISHOPS
DECEASED DURING THE YEAR

PRESIDED OVER BY THE HOLY FATHER FRANCIS

On Monday 4 November 2024, at 11.00, at the Altar of the Cathedra in Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father Francis will preside over the Eucharistic Celebration in memory of the Cardinals and Bishops who died during the course of the year.

The Patriarchs, Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops who wish to concelebrate with the Holy Father are required to be present by 10.30 in the Sacristy of the Basilica, to put on their liturgical vestments, bringing with them: the Patriarchs and the Cardinals, their white damask mitre, and the Archbishops and Bishops, their white mitre.

In accordance with the Motu Proprio “Pontificalis Domus”, all the members of the Papal Chapel who wish to participate in the liturgical celebration should bring the Notification, to be requested via email at celebrazioni@celebra.va by 31 October. All the members are required to wear their own choral habit and to be present at the Altar of the Confessio by 10.30 in order to occupy the place that will be indicated to them by the Pontifical Masters of Ceremonies.
