The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Angelo Raffaele Panzetta as coadjutor archbishop of Lecce, Italy, transferring him from the archdiocese of Crotone-Santa Severina.
Curriculum vitae
Archbishop Angelo Raffaele Panzetta was born on 26 August 1966 in Pulsano, in the province and metropolitan archdiocese of Taranto. He attended the minor seminary and subsequently entered the Pius XI Pontifical Regional Seminary of Apulia in Molfetta, concluding his studies with a bachelor’s degree in theology.
He received priestly ordination on 14 April 1993.
After ordination, he was awarded a doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical Alphonsian Academy in Rome (2000), and served as deputy parish priest in Pulsano, special secretary to Archbishop Papa, and ecclesiastical assistant of Catholic Doctors and the Secular Institute of the Missionaries of the Kingship of Christ for the metropolitan area of Taranto. He directed the diocesan and then regional office for Family Pastoral Care, and held the roles of lecturer in moral theology at the Saint John Paul II Metropolitan Institute of Religious Sciences in Taranto, the Santa Fara Theological Institute in Bari, and the Regina Apuliae Theological Institute of Apulia in Molfetta; spiritual father in the interdiocesan seminary of Poggio Galeso (2000-2002); spiritual assistant of the Gesù Ama (Jesus Loves) Community of Catholic Charismatic Renewal (2006-2019); pastoral collaborator in Martina Franca, Montemesola, Taranto and Carosino; spiritual father of the Pius XI Pontifical Regional Seminary of Apulia in Molfetta (2008-2011); lecturer, deputy dean (2008-2011) and dean at the Theological Faculty of Apulia (2011-2019).
On 7 November 2019 he was appointed archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina, receiving episcopal consecration the following 27 December. Between 2021 and 2022 he was also apostolic administrator of Catanzaro-Squillace.
Within the Italian Episcopal Conference, he is a member of the Episcopal Commission for Catholic Education, Schools and Universities. Within the Regional Episcopal Conference, he is bishop delegate for the family and life. He is also moderator of the Saint Pius X Theological Institute of Calabria in Catanzaro.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Matías Vecino, parish priest of San Cateyano and episcopal vicar for social pastoral care, as auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, assigning him the titular see of Idicra.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Matías Vecino was born on 28 August 1979. He carried out his ecclesiastical studies at the Metropolitan Seminary of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz and was ordained a priest on 30 September 2008 for the metropolitan archdiocese of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz. He was awarded a licentiate in moral theology from the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar, archdiocesan head of the youth area and aspirants of Catholic Action, parish administrator of various parishes, and university pastoral director. He is currently parish priest of San Cateyano, episcopal vicar of social pastoral care, member of the Presbyteral Council and the team for the ongoing formation of the clergy, professor at the metropolitan seminary and member of the group in charge of the synodal path.
