Appointment of auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Pinsk, Belarus
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Andrei Znoska, until now parish priest of Divine Mercy in Lida, diocese of Grodno, Belarus, as auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Pinsk, Belarus, assigning him the titular see of Scardona.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Andrei Znoska was born on 20 June 1980 in Berozavka, Belarus, and was ordained a priest on 28 May 2005, and incardinated in the diocese of Grodno.
After ordination, he first served as vicar of the Cathedral of Saint Francis Xavier, Grodo (2005-2007). He graduated in law from the Belarusian State University, Minsk (2007-2012) and went on to hold the offices of parish priest of Divine Mercy in Lida (since 2012) and judge at the ecclesiastical tribunal of the diocese of Grodno (since 2014). He was awarded a licentiate in canon law from Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University, Warsaw (2015-2018) and went on to serve as lecturer in canon law at the major seminary of Grodno and advisor for legal matters for the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Belarus. Since 2022, he has held the role of canon of the Cathedral Chapter of Grodno.
