The Holy Father has appointed the Distinguished Dr. Francesco Valle as deputy director of the Directorate of General Affairs of the Dicastery for Communication. Dr. Valle has hitherto served as official of the same Curial Institution.

Curriculum vitae

Dr. Francesco Valle was born in Rome on 27 May 1972. He graduated in political sciences from La Sapienza University of Rome. He worked for over twenty years at leading Italian television stations, including as program director of Stream TV, head of institutional reporting at Sky Italia and head of TV rights acquisition and management at LA7. Since 2023, he has been of commercial activities of the Dicastery for Communication.

Appointment of deputy editorial director of the Editorial Directorate

The Holy Father has appointed the distinguished Dr. Massimiliano Menichetti as deputy director of the Editorial Directorate and head of Vatican Radio – Vatican News. Dr. Menichetti has hitherto served as official of the same Curial Institution.

Curriculum vitae

Dr. Massimiliano Menichetti was born in Rome on 27 April 1971. He graduated in law and is a professional journalist. He has served at Vatican Radio for over twenty years.

He has served as editor-in-chief, deputy editor, deputy coordinator, head of the Multimedia Editorial Centre and coordinator-in-chief of Vatican Radio - Vatican News. He has collaborated with various Italian media and has lectured on journalism in various universities.
