The Holy Father has appointed Msgr. Adalberto Donadelli Júnior, of the clergy of the diocese of Joinville, until now rector of the São Francisco Xavier Philosophy Seminary in Brusque-SC, Brazil, as bishop of the diocese of Rio do Sul, Brazil.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Adalberto Donadelli Júnior was born on 26 December 1974 in Paranavaí, in the diocese of the same name, in the State of Paraná, Brazil. He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Faculdade São Basílio Magno in Curitiba-PR and in theology at the Faculdade Católica de Santa Catarina in Florianópolis-SC. He subsequently obtained a licentiate in spiritual theology at the Pontifical Institute of Spirituality Teresianum in Rome.
He received priestly ordination and was incardinated in the diocese of Joinville on 16 October 2004.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Senhor Bom Jesus in Guaramirim-SC (2004-2005), Cristo Ressuscitado in Joinville-SC (2005-2006) and São João Batista in Joinville-SC (2014-2015), parish priest of São João Batista in Garuva-SC (2016-2018), member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors (since 2018), rector of the Divino Espíritu Santo in Joinville-SC (2006-2008) and rector of the Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe Theology Seminary in Florianópolis-SC (2011-2017).
Since 2019 he has served as rector of the São Francisco Xavier Philosophy Seminary in Brusque-SC.

The Holy Father has appointed Msgr. Júlio César Souza de Jesus as bishop of the diocese of Floriano, Brazil, transferring him from the titular see of Arba and the office of auxiliary of Fortaleza.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Júlio César Souza de Jesus was born on 27 July 1971 in Goiânia, in the archdiocese of the same name, in the State of Goiás. He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Universidade Estadual do Ceará and in theology at the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Major Seminary in Teresina-PI. He subsequently obtained a licentiate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
He received priestly ordination on 27 June 1998, and was incardinated in the archdiocese of Teresina.
He has held the following offices: parish priest of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro in Demerval Lobão-PI, Santa Luzia and Menino Jesus de Praga in Teresina-PI, vice rector and professor of the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Major Seminary, and spiritual director and professor in the archdiocesan Diaconal School.
On 11 July 2018 he was appointed titular bishop of Arba and auxiliary of Fortaleza, and received episcopal ordination the following 30 September.
