The General Secretariat of the Synod announces that the Holy Father Francis has set the dates for the Second Session of the 16^th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will hence take place from Wednesday 2 October to Sunday 27 October 2024, to continue the work of the Synod on Synodality on the theme: “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”.

The Second Session of the 16^th Assembly will be preceded by two days of spiritual retreat, from 30 September to 1 October (with the arrival of the participants on 29 September).
