On Thursday 8 February, at 11.30, at the Holy See Press Office, Sala San Pio X, Via dell’Ospedale 1, a meeting will be held on the occasion of the canonization of Blessed María Antonia of Saint Joseph de Paz y Figueroa, the first Argentine saint, to take place on Sunday 11 February 2024, in Saint Peter’s Basilica.
The speakers will be:
- Archbishop Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva, metropolitan of Buenos Aires;
- Bishop Vicente Bokalic Iglic, C.M., of Santiago del Estero;
- Bishop Alberto Germán Bochatey, O.S.A., auxiliary of La Plata, secretary of the Argentine Episcopal Conference;
- Silva Correale, postulator of the Cause for Canonization.
Following a brief presentation, the guests will be available to the press for interviews: Archbishop Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva (Spanish); Bishop Vicente Bokalic Iglic, C.M. (Spanish); Bishop Alberto Germán Bochatey, O.S.A. (Spanish, English and Italian); and Silva Correale (Italian and Spanish).
