Appointment of consultors of the General Secretariat of the Synod

The Holy Father has appointed the following as consultors of the General Secretariat: Archbishop Timothy John Costelloe, S.D.B., metropolitan of Perth; Msgr. Piero Coda, secretary general of the International Theological Commission; Mr. Gaby Alfred Hachem, professor of theology at the Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik; Giuseppe Bonfrate, full professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University; Fr. Paul Béré, S.J., professor of sacred scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute.

The Holy Father has appointed the following distinguished professors as members of the Pontifical Committee of Historical Sciences: Gianni La Bella, lecturer in contemporary history at the Department of Education and Human Sciences of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy; Henrique José Sampaio Soares de Sousa Leitão, pro-rector of the Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal; Andreas Sohn, lecturer in medieval history at the Pléiade Research Unit of the Universitè Sorbonne Paris Nord, France.
