The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Caratinga, Brazil, presented by Bishop Emanuel Messias de Oliveira.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Juarez Delorto Secco as bishop of the diocese of Caratinga, Brazil, transferring him from the titular see of Vegesela in Numidia and the office of auxiliary of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Juarez Delorto Secco was born on 4 July 1970 in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in the diocese of the same name, in the State of Espírito Santo. He carried out his studies in philosophy in the Bom Pastor Seminary in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim-ES and in theology at the l’Instituto de Filosofia e Teologia da Arquidiocese de Vitória-IFTAV in Vitória-ES. He attended the course in civil law, obtaining a postgraduate qualification in canonical matrimonial procedure. He is a member of the Association of Prado Priests.
He was ordained a priest on 10 March 2001, and incardinated in the diocese of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim.
He has held the following offices: parish priest of São Miguel Arcanjo in Guaçuí-ES, São Sebastião in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim-ES and the São Pedro Cathedral; parish vicar of Nossa Senhora das Dores; member of the Vocational Amination Service; member of the Presbyteral Council; chancellor of the Curia; vice-rector of the major seminary; judge auditor; defender of the bond; member of the National Council of the Prado Association.
On 7 June 2017 he was appointed titular bishop of Vegesela in Numidia and auxiliary of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, and received episcopal ordination the following 9 September.
As auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, he has served as moderator of the metropolitan Curia, chair of the Commission for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons, and head of the Leopoldina and Suburbano vicariates.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation presented by Bishop-elect José María Baliña of the diocese of Mar del Plata, Argentina.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Gustavo Manuel Larrazábal, C.M.F., until now titular bishop of Buslacena and auxiliary of the archdiocese of San Juan de Cuyo, as bishop of Mar del Plata, Argentina.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Larrazábal was born in San José, archdiocese of Mendoza, on 31 January 1961. He gave his first vows on 14 January 1990, and his final vows on 25 March 1995. He received priestly ordination on 20 July 1996.
He has held the following offices: provincial vicar of his Congregation; prefect of the Economy of the Argentina-Uruguay Province; and director of the Claretian Editorial in Buenos Aires. In addition, he has served in the San Jorge parish in Florencia Varela and was rector of the Nuestra Señora de Lourdes Shrine in the archdiocese of Mendoza. In the same archdiocese he has held the office of dean and delegate for consecrated life to the Archdiocesan Presbyteral Council.
On 26 March 2022 he was elected titular bishop of Buslacena and auxiliary of the archdiocese of San Juan de Cuyo, receiving episcopal ordination the following 18 June.
