The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Julio Esteban Larrondo Yáñez, until now titular of Magarmel and auxiliary of Santiago de Chile, as bishop prelate of Illapel, Chile.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Julio Esteban Larrondo Yáñez was born in Santiago, Chile, on 23 August 1959. He studied philosophy and theology at the major seminary of the archdiocese of Santiago de Chile. He was ordained a priest on 12 December 1992 and incardinated in the archdiocese of Santiago de Chile.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar and parish priest of San Gabriel, dean of the Obispo Enrique Alvear deanery, formator at the Pontifical Major Seminary of Santiago, parish priest of Jesús de Nazareth, dean of the Alberto Hurtado deanery, member of the team of the Vicariate for the Clergy, parish priest of San Luis Bertrán, parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, episcopal vicar of the south zone of Santiago.
He was appointed titular bishop of Magarmel and auxiliary of Santiago de Chile on 26 May 2020, receiving episcopal consecration the following 26 September.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Juan Carlos Londoño, of the clergy of the archdiocese of Medellín, Colombia, until now fidei donum priest of the diocese of Gaspé, as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Québec, Canada, assigning him the titular see of Beatia.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Juan Carlos Londoño was born on 3 April 1974 in Medellín, Colombia. He attended the Seminario Conciliar de Medellín and the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín. In addition, he knows sign language and the language of the Micmac indigenous people.
He was ordained a priest on 24 November 2001 for the archdiocese of Medellín.
He has held the following offices: vicar of the parish of Nuestra Señora del Rosario and chaplain of the Pastoral del Sur of the archdiocese of Medellín, since 2002, fidei donum priest of the diocese of Gaspé, Canada, parish priest of Saint-Camille de Lellis, Saint-Antoine Marie Claret, the Notre-Dame des Cascapédia Pastoral Sector and the De la Rivière à la Montagne Pastoral Sector, parish priest in New Richmond, in the parishes of Saint-Edgar, Saint-Jules de Cascapédia and the Kateri Tekakwita de Gesgapegiag Mission.
