The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Enrique Equía Seguí, titular of Cissi and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Enrique Equía Seguí was born in Buenos Aires on 9 December 1962, and carried out his ecclesiastical studies in the seminary of the same archdiocese.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar and parish priest in various communities of the archdiocese; member of the Presbyteral Council, executive director of the episcopal vicariate for pastoral care and head of the archdiocesan Commission for the ongoing formation of the clergy.
He was appointed titular bishop of Cissi and auxiliary of Buenos Aires on 4 September 2008, and received episcopal ordination on the following 11 October.
He was episcopal vicar of the vicariate of Belgrano and the Central Zone, episcopal vicar for pastoral care, pro-vicar general and vicar general.
He was secretary of the Argentine Episcopal Conference for two terms (2008-2014).

Msgr. Benoît Gschwind, A.A., was born on 30 September 1963 in Bâle, Switzerland. He was awarded a bachelor’s degree and licentiate in theology from the Faculty of Theology of the Université de Strasbourg, and subsequently a licentiate in theology from the Institut Supérieur de Pastoral Catéchetique of the Institut Catholique de Paris.
He gave his first religious vows as part of the Augustinians of the Assumption on 7 September 1985, and was ordained a priest on 9 February 1991.
He has held the following roles: accompanier of the diocesan Chaplaincy of the public schools of the diocese of Évry-Corbeil-Essonnes (1991-1997); member of the team of priests of the pastoral sector of the new city of Évry (1991-1998); collaborator of the Episcopal Catechetic Association for the “Adolescence” service (1998-2000) and of the Regional Student Chaplaincy of Paris (1997-2001); collaborator (1999-2000) and later chief editor of the liturgical supplement Prions en Église, as well as editor of the liturgical journals of the Bayard-Presse (2000-2011); national chaplain of the Scouts de France (2002-2004); national chaplain of the Scouts et Guides de France (2004-2008); adjunct general chaplain of the Scouts et Guides de France (2008-2011); provincial superior for France of the Augustinians of the Assumption (2011-2014); provincial superior for Europe of the Augustinians of the Assumption (2014-2017); since 2017, parish priest of the parish of Saint-Augustin de l’Aqueduc in Montpellier, member of the Communication Service of the diocese of Montpellier, member of the Presbyteral Council, and teacher in the Guilhem de Gellone University Centre.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Michel Proulx, O.Praem., until now prior of the Saint-Constant Premonstratensian community in the diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil, as bishop of Bathurst in Canada, Canada.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Michel Proulx, O.Praem., was born on 11 October 1962 in Saint-Lambert, Québec. He entered the postulate of the Canons Regular Premonstratensian. He gave his solemn vows on 6 June 1983. He was awarded a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Université de Montréal and continued his studies in biblical philology and theology at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, obtaining a licentiate in theology.
He was ordained a priest on 22 April 1990.
Following ordination, he first served as head of baptismal pastoral care of the Saint-Constant parish in the diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil (1989-1992). After attending courses in psychology at the Institut de Formation Humaine Intégrale de Montréal, he served as master of novices in his Premonstratensian community (1989-2008) and head of pastoral animation at the Premonstratensian Monastery of Saint-Constant (1990-2023). He was awarded a doctorate in theology from the Université de Montréal (1992-1996), and went on to hold the roles of member of the Presbyteral Council of the diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil (1992-1996 and 2023) and teacher of biblical studies at the Institute of Theological Formation of the Major Seminary of Montréal (1999-2013 and 2021-2023). He was responsible for the realization and animation of various radio broadcasts on initiation to biblical exegesis (2002-2012) and was a Bible teacher for the internovitiate of Montréal (since 2007). He served as prior of the Premonstratensians of Québec (since 2008), member of the Ecumenical Commission of the diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil (2009-2012); member of the Theological Commission and then President of the Conférence Religieuse Canadienne; member of the International Commission of the Order for Initial and Permanent Formation (2012-2018); teacher in the Faculty of Theology of the Dominican Pastoral Institute in Montréal (2014-2020); and, since January 2021, diocesan head of biblical animation.
