Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Paris, France
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. Emmanuel Tois, of the clergy of the archdiocese of Paris, until now vicar general, as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Paris, France, assigning him the titular see of Vertara.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Emmanuel Tois was born on 28 September 1965 in Le Petit-Quevilly, in the archdiocese of Rouen. He carried out his studies at the Faculty of Law of Rennes, and was a student of the National School of the Magistrature. After his experience as a magistrate, he entered the Paris Seminary and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in theology. He was ordained for the archdiocese of Paris on 30 June 2012.
He has held the following offices: vicar of Notre-Dame de la Croix (2012-2017); chaplain of the Association of Catholic Magistrates and Officials of Justice of Parish (2014-2021); member of the Presbyteral Council (2014-2017); member of the College of Consultors (2015-2020); parish priest of Notre-Dame du Rosaire (2017-2021); dean of the Alésia-Plaisance Deanery (2018-2021); and since 2021, vicar general.
