The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Ignacio Damián Medina, until now titular bishop of Nepte and auxiliary of the diocese of Lomas de Zamora, as bishop of the diocese of Río Gallegos, Argentina.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Ignacio Damián Medina was born in Tandil, diocese of Azul, on 17 March 1967. He attended the Inmaculada Concepción Metropolitan Seminary of Villa Devoto, Buenos Aires, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and theology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.
He received priestly ordination on 26 November 1994, and was incardinated in the archdiocese of Buenos Aires.
He has held the following offices: deacon of Santa Rosa de Lima; parish vicar of San Rafael Arcángel and of Santa Ana y Joaquín. In 2000 he transferred as a fidei donum priest to the diocese of Río Gallegos, where he served in the Inmaculada Concepción parish until 2006. Upon returning to the archdiocese of Buenos Aires, he was parish priest of Espíritu Santo and of Niño Jesús.
On 26 November 2019 he was appointed titular bishop of Nepte and auxiliary of Lomas de Zamora, receiving episcopal ordination the following 29 December.
Within the Argentine Episcopal Conference, he is a member of the Episcopal Commission for Catholic Education.

The Holy Father has appointed the following as auxiliary bishops of Córdoba, Argentina: the Reverend Horacio José Álvarez, of the clergy of the archdiocese of Córdoba, assigning him the titular see of Cubda, and the Reverend Alejandro Musolino, S.D.B., director of the Opera Don Bosco of Formosa, assigning him the titular see of Ruspe.
Curriculum vitae of Msgr. Horacio José Álvarez
Msgr. Álvarez was born on 24 February 1957 in Córdoba. He entered the major seminary of Córdoba, and received priestly ordination on 3 December 1981.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar; parish priest of Nuestra Señora Madre de Dios y Madre de la Iglesia, of Madre de Redentor y de los Santos Juan y Pablo and San José in Córdoba; head of the Unión Apostólica del Clero; rector and professor in the major seminary of Córdoba, secretary of the Presbyteral Council; episcopal vicar for the laity; and episcopal vicar for lay associations and movements. He is currently vicar general, parish priest of Ascensión del Señor in Córdoba, and confessor of the major seminary.
Curriculum vitae of Msgr. Alejandro Musolino, S.D.B.
Msgr. Musolino was born on 30 October 1971 in Córdoba. He gave his first profession as a Salesian of Don Bosco on 31 January 1991, and his perpetual profession on 4 October 1997.
He received priestly ordination on 11 December 1999. After receiving a teaching diploma in philosophy and science of education from the Domenico Savio Institute of Córdoba, he specialized in Salesian spiritual accompaniment in the Salesian Centre for Permanent Formation in Quito, Ecuador. He also obtained a diploma in spiritual discernment following the method of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, offered by the Catholic University of Córdoba.
He has held the following offices: formator of aspirants and pre-novices, and deputy director of the Domenico Savio Institute; superior of the post-novitiate and head of the Salesian Centre for Philosophical Studies; director of the Opera Don Bosco de Rodeo del Medio in Mendoza; provincial counsellor and bursar of the province of Northern Argentina; member of the Salesian Youth Pastoral Team; director of the Salesian Opera of Pius X of Córdoba and member of the Junta Arquidiocesana de Religiosos.
He is currently director of the Opera Don Bosco of Formosa.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Hilário Da Cruz Massinga, O.F.M., until now bishop of Quelimane, as auxiliary bishop of Inhambane, Mozambique, assigning him the titular see of Cullu.
