As part of the traditional exchange of Delegations for the respective feasts of the Patron Saints - on 29 June in Rome for the celebration of Saints Peter and Paul, and on 30 November in Istanbul for the celebration of Saint Andrew - on 27 June the Delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate arrived in Rome, led by Metropolitan of Pisidia, Job, co-president of the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. He was accompanied by Bishop Nazianzus Athenagoras and Patriarchal Deacon Kallinikos Chasapis.
Yesterday the Delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate attended the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Holy Father, and met the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity for the customary conversations; today it was received in audience by Pope Francis.
