Appointment of apostolic nuncio in Cote d’Ivoire
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. Mauricio Rueda Beltz, under-secretary for Holy See Diplomatic Staff, as apostolic nuncio in Cote d’Ivoire, at the same time elevating him to the titular see of Cingoli, with the dignity of archbishop.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Mauricio Rueda Beltz was born in Bogotá on 8 January 1970. He was ordained a priest on 19 December 1996, and incardinated in the archdiocese of Bogotá.
He graduated in canon law.
He entered the Holy See Diplomatic Service on 1 July 2004, and subsequently served in the Pontifical Representations in Guinea, Chile, the United States of America and Jordan. He transferred to the Section for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Secretariat of State, as head of the organization of Apostolic Journeys. He was then transferred to the apostolic nunciature in Portugal. He was appointed under-secretary of the Section for Holy See Diplomatic Staff on 17 December 2020.
He knows French, English, Italian and Portuguese.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. Germano Penemote, nunciature counsellor, as apostolic nuncio in Pakistan, at the same time elevating him to the titular see of Treia, with the dignity of archbishop.

Msgr. Germano Penemote was born in Ondobe, Angola, on 24 October 1969. He was ordained a priest on 6 December 1998, and incardinated in the diocese of Ondijiva.
He graduated in Utroque Iure.
He entered the Holy See Diplomatic Service on 1 July 2003, and has served in the apostolic nunciatures in Benin, Uruguay, Slovakia, Thailand, Hungary, Peru and Romania.
He knows French, English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. George Panamthundil, nunciature counsellor, as apostolic nuncio in Kazakhstan, at the same time elevating him to the titular see of Floriana, with the dignity of archbishop.

Msgr. George Panamthundil was born in Trivandrum City, India, on 20 May 1972. He was ordained a priest on 18 February 1998, and incardinated in the archdiocese of Trivandrum of the Syro-Malankars.
He graduated in oriental canon law.
He entered the Holy See Diplomatic Service on 1 July 2005, and has served in the apostolic nunciatures in Costa Rica, Guinea, Iraq, Austria, Israel and in the apostolic delegation in Jerusalem and Palestine, in the Pontifical Representation in Cyprus.
He knows French, English, Italian, Spanish and German.
