Resignation of apostolic nuncio of the Principality of Monaco
The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the office of apostolic nuncio of the Principality of Monaco, presented by Archbishop Antonio Arcari, titular of Ceciri, availing himself of the possibility offered by Article 20(2) of the Rules for Pontifical Representations.
Appointment of bishop of Tulcán, Ecuador
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Carlos Washington Yépez Naranjo, of the clergy of Riobamba, until now vicar general of the same diocese, as bishop of the diocese of Tulcán, Ecuador.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Carlos Washington Yépez Naranjo was born on 15 October 1972 in Pallatanga, diocese of Riobamba. He carried out his formation in the Seminario Mayor Cristo Sacerdote. He was ordained a priest on 26 March 2003, and incardinated in the diocese of Riobamba. He was awarded a licentiate in spiritual theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He has been a member of the Commission for Vocations, formation in the Seminary of Riobamba, vicar for the permanent formation of young clergy, deputy parish priest and parish priest of various parishes, and delegate ad omnia of the apostolic administrator of the diocese of Riobamba during the holiday period. To date he has served as vicar general, parish priest of La Dolorosa, chaplain of the National Police and chaplain of the Riobamba Prison.
