Tomorrow, Wednesday 19 April 2023, at 12.00, in the Holy See Press Office, Saint Pius X Hall, Via dell’Ospedale 1, a press conference will be held to present the conferral of the 2023 Paul VI International Prize on the theme “Paul VI and Italy: the historical legacy and the present”.
The speakers will be:
- Don Angelo Maffeis, president of the Paul VI Institute of Brescia;
- Professor Andrea Riccardi, professor emeritus of contemporary history; member of the Scientific Committee of the Paul VI Institute;
- Mr. Pierpaolo Camadini, president of the Opera per l’Educazione Cristiana (Christian Education Society).

On Thursday 20 April 2023, at 11.30, in the Holy See Press Office, Saint Pius X Hall, Via dell’Ospedale 1, a press conference will be held at the conclusion of the second stage of the synodal process, 2021-2024: the Continental Stage.
The speakers will be:
- Archbishop Timothy John Costelloe, S.D.B., of Perth, president of the Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference;
- The Reverend Sr. Nathalie Becquart, X.M.C.J., under-secretary of the Secretariat General of the Synod;
- The Reverend Msgr. Lucio Adrián Ruiz, secretary general of the Dicastery for Communication;
- The Reverend Fr. Hyacinthe Destivelle, O.P., official of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity.
The Vatican News journalists who participated in the Continental Assemblies as special envoys will also be present and available to journalists.
