The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Guanare, Venezuela, presented by Bishop José de la Trinidad Valera Anguio.
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Oswaldo Enrique Araque Valerio, of the clergy of the diocese of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, until now vicar general and parish priest of San Pedro in Barquisimeto, as bishop of Guanare, Venezuela.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Oswaldo Enrique Araque Valerio was born on 21 May 1964 in Chiguará, archdiocese of Mérida, Venezuela. After studying philosophy and theology at the Divina Pastora Major Seminary of Barquisimeto, he was awarded a licentiate in canon law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome and in philosophy and theology from the Universidad Católica Santa Rosa in Caracas.
He received priestly ordination on 5 July 1995, and was incardinated in the archdiocese of Barquisimeto.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of San Pedro in Barinitas (1995-1998); spiritual assistant of the Alegrìa y Esperanza Private Association of the Faithful and chaplain of the José Antonio Páez Military High School of Barinitas; parish priest of the Sagrada Familia de Nazareth in El Tostao (1998-1999); archdiocesan assistant for youth pastoral care (2001-2003); parish vicar of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes and episcopal vicar for the clergy (2005-2007); judicial vicar and parish priest of the Sagrada Familia de Nazareth in El Tostao (2005-2022); from 2008 to date, vicar general and, from 2002 to date, parish priest of San Pedro in Barquisimeto.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Ivanildo Oliveira Almeida, of the clergy of the diocese of Imperatriz, until now director general of the Instituto de Estudos Superiores do Maranhão in São Luís-MA, as bishop of the diocese of Cametá, Brazil.

Msgr. Ivanildo Oliveira Almeida was born on 25 March 1972 in Arame, diocese of Imperatriz, in the state of Maranhão. He studied philosophy and theology at the Instituto de Estudos Superiores do Maranhão (IESMA) in São Luís-MA (1994-2001).
He was ordained a priest on 22 December 2001 for the diocese of Imperatriz.
He obtained a licentiate in canon law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome (2008-2011).
He has held the following offices: parish priest of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro in Santo Antônio de Pádua and of the Cathedral of Nossa Senhora de Fátima; rector of the Bom Pastor Major Seminary; president of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Ecclesiastical Province of São Luís do Maranhão; professor of canon law and, until now, director general of the IESMA.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend José Hamilton de Castro, of the clergy of the diocese of Guaxupé, until now rector of the theology seminary, as bishop of the diocese of Almenara, Brazil.

Msgr. José Hamilton de Castro was born on 20 April 1961 in Monte Santo de Minas, diocese of Guaxupé, in the State of Minas Gerais. After entering the Maria Imaculada Archdiocesan Seminary in Brodowski-SP, he completed his studies in philosophy at the Centro Universitário Claretiano in Batatais (1990-1992) and in theology at the Centro de Estudos da Arquidiocese de Ribeirão Preto-CEARP (1993-1996).
He was ordained a priest on 4 May 1997 and incardinated in the diocese of Guaxupé.
He held the following positions: vice-rector (1997) and then rector (1999-2000; 2013-2015) of the São José Seminary in Guaxupé-MG; rector of the Santo Antônio House of Presbyteral Formation in Pouso Alegre-MG and formator of theology students (1998; 2022); parish vicar of the Cathedral (1999-2000); parish priest of i in Machado-MG (2001-2007; 2019-2021) and of São Sebastião in São Sebastião do Paraíso-MG (2007-2013); vice-rector of the Santo Antônio House of Presbyteral Formation in Pouso Alegre-MG and formator of philosophy students (2016-2018); member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors.
He is currently rector of the theology seminary and parish vicar of São Sebastião in Alfenas-MG.
