At 21.15 this evening, the pious exercise of the Way of the Cross took place at the Colosseum, presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, vicar general of His Holiness for the diocese of Rome.

Due to the intense cold of these days, the Holy Father Francis followed this evening's Way of the Cross from Casa Santa Marta, joining in the prayers of those gathered with the diocese of Rome at the Colosseum.

The texts proposed this year for the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday at the Colosseum are testimonies heard by the Holy Father Francis during his Apostolic Journeys and on other occasions on the theme “Voices of peace in a world of war”. The collection was edited by several Dicasteries of the Roman Curia.
