Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Kaunas, Lithuania

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Saulius Bužauskas, of the clergy of the diocese of Vilkaviškis, Lithuana, hitherto spiritual director of the major seminary of Vilnius and of Radio Maria programmes, as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Kaunas, Lithuania, assigning him the titular see of Castellum Tatroportus.

Curriculum vitae

Msgr. Saulius Bužauskas was born on 19 July 1972 in Garliava, Lithuania. After graduating in communication from Vilnius University and working as a journalist, he entered the Saint Joseph Major Seminary of Vilnius.

He was ordained a priest on 12 April 2008 for the archdiocese of Vilnius.

He has held the role of parish vicar and chaplain of the Versmé High School. He is currently spiritual director of the major seminary of Vilnius and of Radio Maria programmes.
