The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Federico Wechsung, of the clergy of the diocese of Lomas de Zamora, until now parish priest of Maria Auxiliadora and chair of the interdiocesan Tribunal of La Plata, as auxiliary bishop of La Plata, Argentina, assigning him the titular see of Pederodiana.

Curriculum vitae

Msgr. Federico Wechsung was born in Monte Grande, diocese of Lomas de Zamora, on 17 July 1975. He received priestly ordination on 25 March 2006, and was incardinated in the same diocese. He was awarded a licentiate in canon law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.

He has held the following offices: parish vicar of the Inmaculada Concepción in Burzaco and of the Inmaculada Concepción in Monte Grande. He is currently parish priest of Maria Auxiliadora, professor at the Universidad Nacional de Lomas De Zamora and chair of the interdiocesan Tribunal of La Plata.
