The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Anthony Celino, until now judicial vicar and parish priest of Saint Raphael, as auxiliary of the diocese of El Paso, United States of America, assigning him the titular see of Maronana.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Anthony Celino was born on 29 April 1972 in the Philippines. He attended the Mary Help of Christians College Seminary in Dagupan City. He carried out his theological studies at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, obtaining a Master of Divinity. He was subsequently awarded a licentiate in canon law at the Catholic University of America in Washington.
He was ordained a priest for the diocese of El Paso on 9 June 1997.
Since priestly ordination, he has held the following offices: parish vicar of Saint Patrick Cathedral (1997); judicial vicar (2003); administrator and parish priest of Santa Lucia (2004); vicar general and moderator of the Curia (2011-2013 and 2013-2017); diocesan administrator sede vacante (2011-2013); administrator of Saint Stephen (2017); judicial vicar and parish priest of Saint Raphael (since 2017).
