Episcopal appointment of dean of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota

The Holy Father has appointed Msgr. Alejandro Arellano Cedillo, dean of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota, as titular bishop of Bisuldino, conferring to him the personal title of Archbishop.

 

Resignation and succession of bishop of Koszalin- Kołobrzeg, Poland

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Koszalin- Kołobrzeg, Poland, presented by Bishop Edward Dajczak.

He is succeeded by Bishop Zbigniew Zieliński, until now coadjutor bishop of the same diocese.

 

Resignation and appointment of bishop of Trieste, Italy

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Trieste, Italy, presented by Bishop Giampaolo Crepaldi.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. Enrico Trevisi of the clergy of the diocese of Cremona, parish priest of Cristo Re in Cremona and coordinator of the Family of Families Area, as bishop of the diocese of Trieste, Italy.

Curriculum vitae

Bishop Enrico Trevisi was born on 5 August 1963 in Asola, Mantua. After attending the diocesan seminary of Cremona, he was ordained a priest on 20 June 1987 for the diocese of Cremona.

He holds a doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

He has held the following offices: vice rector and teacher of moral theology in the diocesan seminary (1990-1997); until 2022, teacher at the interdiocesan theological studio of Crema, Cremona, Lodi and Vigevano; director of the diocesan pastoral centre (1997-2004); head of the Office of Social and Labour Pastoral Care (1997-2003); spiritual assistant ACLI (2000-2005); rector of the diocesan seminary of Cremona (2004-2016); teacher at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in Mantua, in the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy in Milan, and in the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Cremona; member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors; and since 2016, parish priest of Cristo Re in Cremona and coordinator of the Family of Families Area.

 

Appointment of bishop of Maitland-Newcastle, Australia

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Michael Robert Kennedy as bishop of the diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, Australia, transferring him from the see of Armidale.

Curriculum vitae

Bishop Michael Robert Kennedy was born on 13 May 1968 in Wagga Wagga, Australia. After studying pedagogy, he was awarded a licentiate in sacred theology at the Pontifical Urban University and a diploma in Mariology at the “Marianum” Pontifical Theological Faculty.

He was ordained a priest on 14 August 1999 for the diocese of Wagga Wagga.

He has held the following offices: deputy parish priest, chaplain for youth, parish administrator, parish priest and vicar forane; member of the Commission of Diocesan Schools and the Presbyteral Council; parish priest in Leeton; member of the diocesan team for the promotion of vocations; teacher of moral theology and Mariology and member of the group of spiritual directors at the diocesan seminary.

Within the Australian Episcopal Conference, he is a member of the Episcopal Commission for Life, Family and Public Engagement, and a member of the Commission for the Plenary Council.
