The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the archdiocese of Granada, Spain, presented by Archbishop Francisco Javier Martínez Fernández.
He is succeeded by Archbishop José María Gil Tamayo, until now coadjutor archbishop of the same archdiocese.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Mario Eduardo Dorsonville-Rodríguez, hitherto titular bishop of Kearney and auxiliary of Washington, as bishop of the diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, United States of America.

Bishop Mario Eduardo Dorsonville-Rodríguez was born on 31 October 1960 in Bogotá, Colombia. He attended the San José Major Seminary of the archdiocese of Bogotá, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and in theology. He was subsequently awarded a licentiate in theology from the Pontificia Universidad Javieriana in Bogotá and a Doctor of Ministry from the Catholic University of America in Washington.
He was ordained a priest on 23 November 1985 for the archdiocese of Bogotá.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of the Inmaculado Corazón de María (1985-1987); chaplain at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (1987 and 1995-1996); parish priest of San José Calasanz, associate chaplain (1988-1991) and professor of ethics (1990-1991 and 1995-1996) at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia; professor of pastoral counselling and catechesis at the Major Seminary of Bogotá (1995-1996); parish vicar of Good Shepherd in Alexandria, Christ the Redeemer in Sterling (1992-1994) and Saint Joseph in Arlington (1996).
After incardination in the archdiocese of Washington in 1999, he was parish vicar of Our Lady of Lourdes in Bethesda (1997-2004) and Saint Mark the Evangelist in in Hyattsville (2004-2005); director of the Spanish Catholic Centre and vice president of the Mission of Catholic Charities of the archdiocese of Washington (2005-2015).
He was appointed titular bishop of Kearney and auxiliary of Washington on 20 March 2015, and received episcopal ordination the following 20 April.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Vicente de Paula Ferreira, C.SS.R., as bishop of the diocese of Livramento de Nossa Senhora, Braziol, transferring him from the office of auxiliary of the archdiocese of Belo Horizonte and the titular see of Castra nova.

Bishop Vicente de Paula Ferreira, C.SS.R., was born on 27 October 1970 in Araraí, diocese of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in the State of Espírito Santo.
He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), obtaining a licentiate and a degree in science of religion. He then studied theology at the Faculdade Jesuíta de Filosofia e Teologia (FAJE) in Belo Horizonte and specialized in psychology at the UFJF.
He gave his religious vows as a Redemptorist on 12 December 1992, and was ordained a priest on 16 November 1996.
He has held the following offices: vocational promoter (1997); formator of the pre-novitiate (1998-2002) and of the aspirancy (2003-2005); president of the Union of Redemptorists of Brazil (2005-2011); provincial superior of the Province of Rio de Janeiro-Minas Gerais-Espírito Santo (2005-2014); member of the Alphonsian Academy of Rome (2012-2017); formator of theology students of the Redemptorist Congregation (Province of Rio) in Belo Horizonte (2014-2017).
He was elected titular bishop of Castra nova and auxiliary bishop of Belo Horizonte on 8 March 2017, and received episcopal ordination on 27 May 2017.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Paolo Andreolli, S.X., former vocational promoter of the Xaverians in Belém, as auxiliary bishop of Belém do Pará, Brazil, assigning him the titular see of Altava.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Paolo Andreolli, S.X., was born on 16 December 1972 in Noventa Vicentina (VI). He completed his seminary studies in philosophy and theology at the Episcopal Seminary of Reggio Emilia. He gave his first vows on 21 August 1994 and his perpetual vows in the Pious Society of Saint Francis Xavier for the Foreign Missions on 5 March 2000.
He was ordained a priest on 17 September 2000.
He has held the following positions: missionary and vocational animator in Desio (2000-2007); parish vicar of São Félix do Xingu in Brazil (2007-2017), of Nossa Senhora Aparecida de Tucumã and later parish priest of the latter (2013-2017).
He is currently parish vicar of São Francisco Xavier and vocational promoter of the Xaverians in Belém.
