The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Juan Espinoza Jiménez, until now titular of Arpi and auxiliary of Morelia, as bishop of Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Juan Epinoza Jiménez was born on 11 May 1965 in La Piedad, metropolitan archdiocese of Morelia.
He studied at the major seminary of Morelia and was ordained a priest on 31 January 1993, and incardinated in the same metropolitan archdiocese. He obtained a licentiate in science of education at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome.
He exercised his priestly ministry as spiritual director and vice rector of the minor seminary, chaplain of a residence for the elderly, official of the Congregation for Bishops, professor and formator of the major seminary, coordinator of the Diocesan Commission for the Clergy and chaplain of postulants of the Passionist Sisters in Morelia.
On 15 December 2010 he was appointed as titular bishop of Arpi and auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of Morelia, receiving episcopal ordination on 22 February 2011.
From 2015 up to May 2019 he was secretary general of CELAM.

The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary bishops of the metropolitan archdiocese of Caracas, Venezuela, the Reverend Carlos Márquez Delima, of the clergy of the same archdiocese, vicar general, assigning him the titular see of Cefala, and the Reverend Fr. Lisandro Alirio Rivas Durán, I.M.C., until now rector of the San Paolo Apostolo Pontifical International Missionary College in Rome, assigning him the titular see of Dardano.
Curriculum vitae of Msgr. Carlos Márquez Delima
Msgr. Carlos Márquez Delima was born in Caracas on 29 December 1961. He graduated in aquaculture and fisheries from Malaspina College, British Columbia, Canada. He was ordained a priest on 25 July 2003.
He obtained a diploma in dogmatic theology, and in pastoral ministry and catechetics, and a licentiate in religious pedagogy from the Catholic University of Caracas.
He has been in charge of pastoral formation in the Seminary of Caracas and professor of English in the seminary (1998-2000), director of the archdiocesan secretariat for catechesis (since 2000), parish priest of San Lucas, in El Llanito (2003-2004), of María Madre del Redentor, in Los Naranjos (2004-2006), and of El Buen Pastor, in Bello Campo (since 2006), head of adult vocations (2006-2017), founder and director of the archdiocesan School for the Permanent Diaconate (since 2008), episcopal vicar for the Permanent Diaconate and episcopal vicar for catechesis and lay formation (since 2018). Since 2020 he has served as vicar general.

Msgr. Lisandro Alirio Rivas Durán, I.M.C., was born on 17 July 1969 in Boconó, diocese of Trujillo. He carried out his formation in the centres of the Consolata Missionaries. He obtained a specialization in theology from the Missionary Institute in London, affiliated to the Leuven University, Belgium.
He was ordained a priest on 19 August 1995.
He has served as a missionary in Kenya (1995-2000), and was responsible for formation of his Institute and rector of the Philosophical Seminary (2000-2005), deputy superior (2002-2005) and superior for Venezuela (2005-2011), rector of the Theological Seminary in Bogotá (2011-2014) and, from 2014 to the present, rector of the San Paolo Apostolo Pontifical International Missionary College in Rome.
