On Tuesday 7 September 2021, at 11.30, a press conference will be streamed live from the Holy See Press Office to present the Preparatory Document and the Vademecum for the Synod on Synodality: two instruments drawn up by the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops to guide the first phase of the synodal itinerary in view of the celebration of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme: “For a Synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”.

The speakers will be:

Msgr. Luis Marín de San Martín, under-secretary of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops;

Professor Myriam Wijlens, lecturer in canon law at the University of Erfurt, Germany; consultor of the Synod of Bishops;

Reverend D. Dario Vitali, ordinary professor in the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Gregorian University, consultor of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops.
