Resignation and appointment of bishop of Ourinhos, Brazil
The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Ourinhos, Brazil, presented by Bishop Salvatore Paruzzo.
The Pope has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Ourinhos, Brazil, Bishop Eduardo Vieira dos Santos, transferring him from the titular see of Bladia and from the office of auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of São Paulo.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Eduardo Vieira dos Santos was born on 18 March 1965 in Bom Sucesso, in the metropolitan archdiocese of Maringá, Paraná. He studied philosophy at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1994) and theology at the Pius XI Theological Institute in São Paulo (1996). He was awarded a licentiate in canon law at the Instituto de Direito Canônico Padre Giuseppe Benito Pegoraro of the metropolitan archdiocese of São Paulo.
In 1988 he gave his religious vows as a member of the Congregation of the Holy Cross. He was subsequently incardinated in the metropolitan archdiocese of São Paulo, for which he was ordained a priest on 15 December 2000.
He has held the following positions: parish priest of São João Gualberto (2001-2007); vice rector of the Bom Pastor theology seminary, in charge of the accompaniment of permanent deacons (2008-2013); chancellor of the archdiocesan Curia (2008-2014); parish priest of the metropolitan cathedral (2013-2014).
On 10 December 2014, he was appointed as titular bishop of Bladia and auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of São Paulo, and received episcopal ordination on 7 February 2015. Until now he has served as vicar of the Episcopal Region Sé.

The Holy Father has appointed Professor Lucia Bozzi, full professor of private law at the University of Foggia, as applied magistrate of Vatican City State Tribunal.
Curriculum vitae
Professor Lucia Bozzi was born in Rome on 2 October 1966. She graduated in law from La Sapienza University of Rome in 1991 and was awarded a PhD in private law from the University of Pisa in 1998. Among other activities, she has been a lecturer at the Université Cadi Ayyad in Marrakech, at the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli in Rome and a substitute lecturer at the faculty of law of the University of Catania. She is currently full professor of private law at the faculty of law of the University of Foggia, and an external member of the Nucleo di Valutazione of the University of Tor Vergata in Rome. She is author of numerous publications.
