The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Porto-Santa Rufina, Italy, presented by Bishop Gino Reali.
Appointment of auditor general
The Holy Father has appointed as auditor general the distinguished Dr. Alessandro Cassinis Righini, until now interim auditor general.
Curriculum vitae
The distinguished Dr. Alessandro Cassinis Righini was born in Rome on 29 December 1965. He graduated in economics and commerce from the University of Rome La Sapienza and was awarded an MBA from the School of Business Management of Bocconi University, Milan. He is married with three children. He has taught strategic management at the University of Rome La Sapienza and at the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli. After an experience at the European Commission, he worked as a researcher at the Fondazione Centro Studi Investimenti Sociali (Censis). He then worked as a management consultant for Braxton Associates in London and for the Deloitte Group. He is the author of numerous articles on management control and regulatory economics. In March 2016 he was appointed deputy auditor and has served as acting auditor general since June 2017.
