For reasons of force majeure, mainly related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Secretary of State will no longer be able to travel to Venezuela, as he wished, on the occasion of the beatification of the Venerable Servant of God José Gregorio Hernández, which will take place in Caracas on the 30th of this month.

Cardinal Parolin assures us of his spiritual participation in this moment of great importance for the Church and for the entire country, and hopes that it will contribute to deepening the faith of Venezuelans and their Christian life, in imitation of the new Blessed, to face the humanitarian crisis together and to promote a plural and peaceful coexistence.
