Appointment of bishop of Siuna, Nicaragua
The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Siuna, Nicaragua, Msgr. Isidoro del Carmen Mora Ortega, of the clergy of Matagalpa, until now parish priest of San Ramón Nonato and vicar general of the diocese of Matagalpa.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Isidoro del Carmen Mora Ortega was born on 5 March 1970 in Matagalpa. He studied philosophy in the Seminario Mayor San Pedro Apóstol in Granada and theology in the Seminario Nuestra Señora de Fatima in Managua. He was ordained a priest on 20 September 2003, and was incardinated in the diocese of Matagalpa.
Since priestly ordination he has held the following offices: parish vicar of San José in Matiguás and of Nuestro Señor de Esquipulas (2003-2004); administrator of the parishes of San Isidro and San Dionisio in Matagalpa (2004-2006); and parish priest of San Juan Bautista in Muy Muy (2007-2008). From 2009 to the present he has served as parish priest of San Ramón Nonato and vicar general of the diocese of Matagalpa.
