On Thursday 4 March 2021, on the eve of the Holy Father’s departure for the Apostolic Journey in Iraq, the Holy Father Francis received in audience the Reverend Fr. Amedeo Cencini, FdCC, pontifical delegate ad nutum Sanctae Sedis for the Monastic Community of Bose, with the prior of the same Community, Fr. Luciano Manicardi.
His Holiness wished to express in this way to the Prior and the Community his closeness and his support in this difficult phase in its life, confirming his appreciation for the Community and its particular characteristic of being made up of brothers and sisters from different Christian Churches. Pope Francis, who has followed the events with special attention, also wished to confirm the work of the Pontifical Delegate in these months, thanking him for having acted in full cooperation with the Holy See, with the sole intention of alleviating the suffering both of individuals and of the Community.
Finally, the Holy Father expressed his solicitude in accompanying the path of conversion and of the resumption of the activity of the Community in accordance with the directions and methods defined clearly in the single Decree of 13 May 2020, whose contents the Pope reiterates and asks to be implemented.
