He is succeeded by Bishop Albert Hemrom, until now coadjutor of the same diocese.

The Holy Father has appointed the Revered Joseph-Bernard Likolo Bokal'Etumba, of the clergy of Kinshasa, until now secretary of the Episcopal Commission for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments of the C.E.N.C.O., as bishop of the diocese of Lisala, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Bishop Joseph-Bernard Likolo Bokal'Etumba was born on 29 August 1967 in Kinshasa. He attended the Preparatory Seminary in Kinshasa from 1987 to 1988. He studied philosophy at the Saint André Kaggwa Major Seminary (1988-1991) and theology at the Saint Jean XXIII Grand Séminaire de Theologie (1991-1996) in Kinshasa. From 1996 to 1999 he carried out a pastoral internship at the Sainte Angèle Parish in Kinshasa.
He was ordained a priest on 30 May 1999 for the Archdiocese of Kinshasa.
After ordination he first served as vicar and parish priest of Sainte Angèle (1999-2004) and director of the primary school of the same name (1996-2004). He then obtained a licentiate in theology from the Institut Catholique de Paris, France (2004-2008) and a doctorate in liturgy from the Pontifical Athenaeum of Saint Anselm in Rome (2008-2013); He went on to serve as referent for vocations, seminarians and priests of the Emmanuel Community in the Democratic Republic of Congo (since 2010); lecturer in liturgy at the Grand Séminaire de Theologie Saint Jean XXIII (since 2013); director of the Maison Jean-Jacques Olier for the formation and accompaniment of priests in difficulty (2014-2020); and secretary of the Episcopal Commission for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments of the Conferénce Episcopale Nationale du Congo (C. E.N.C.O.), from 2016 to the present.

The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of Chur, Switzerland, Msgr. Joseph Marie Bonnemain, of the clergy of the Personal Prelature of Opus Dei, until now judicial vicar and canon of the Cathedral Chapter of the same diocese.

Msgr. Joseph Bonnemain was born on 26 July 1948 in Barcelona, Spain.
After graduating from high school in 1967, he studied medicine at the Universität Zürich, graduating in 1975. He then completed his philosophical and theological studies in Rome.
He was ordained a priest on 15 August 1978, and incardinated in the Personal Prelature of Opus Dei.
He studied canon law in Navarre, graduating in 1980. At the same time he carried out his pastoral ministry for workers and farmers in the region of Navarre, as well as at the Technical University. From 1981 he served at the Bishop's Curia in Chur as diocesan judge and from 1982 as deputy judge. From 1983 to 1991 he was a member of the Holy See Delegation to the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Geneva. From 1985 he was chaplain at the Limmattal Hospital in Zurich. In 1989 he was appointed judicial vicar of the diocese of Chur. Since 2002 he has been Secretary of the Commission for Sexual Abuse established by the Swiss Bishops' Conference. In 2003 he became canon of the Cathedral Chapter of Chur, in 2008 member of the Episcopal Council, and in 2009 Chaplain of His Holiness. Since 2011, he has served as episcopal vicar for the Corporations of Civil Ecclesiastical Law and for the Cantons of the Diocese.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Gary W. Janak, of the clergy of the diocese of Victoria in Texas, as auxiliary bishop of San Antonio, United States of America, assigning him the titular see of Dionysiana.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Gary W. Janak was born on 22 March 1962 in El Campo, Texas, United States of America.
He completed his ecclesiastical studies at the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio (1983-1988). He was awarded a licentiate in canon law at the Catholic University of America, in Washington D.C. (1993-1995). He obtained a master's degree in education and counselling from the University of Houston-Victoria in Victoria (1995-1997).
He was ordained a priest for the diocese of Victoria in Texas on 14 May 1988.
Since ordination he has served as deputy parish priest of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral in Victoria (1988-1990), and parish priest of the Saint Joseph Parish in Yoakum (1994-2003) and of Saint Philip the Apostle in El Campo (2003-2013). He was director of the Promotion of Vocations and the Permanent Diaconate Programme. From April to June 2015 he was diocesan administrator, and until now, rector of the Cathedral, chancellor, vicar general and member of the college of consultors and the presbyteral council.
