Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Rome

The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary bishop of Rome the Reverend Dario Gervasi, parish priest of the Risurrezione di Nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, assigning him the titular see of Subaugusta.

Curriculum vitae

Msgr. Dario Gervasi was born in Roma on 9 May 1968. He carried out his studies at the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary. After priestly ordination on 22 May 1994, he continued his studies in dogmatic theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University where he was awarded a licentiate.

He has held various offies: parish vicar in the praises of Santa Maria delle Grazie al Trionfale and Santi Gioacchino ed Anna; parish priest of the parish of Santi Gioacchino ed Anna; vice rector of the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary; head of the Work of Priestly Vocations of the Vicariate of Rome, and deputy of the Congregation of Missionaries of the Borromeo Imperial Institute.

He is currently parish priest of the Risurrezione di Nostro Signore Gesù Cristo parish and prefect of the 17th Prefecture of the diocese of Rome.
