The seventh meeting of the Joint Vietnam-Holy See Working Group will be held in Ha Noi on 19 December.

The meeting is intended to deepen and develop bilateral relations, following what was agreed at the end of the sixth meeting of the Working Group which took place in the Vatican in October 2016, and subsequently during the visit of H.E. Mr. Hà Kim Ngoc, deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam to the Vatican in August 2017 and that of Msgr. Camilleri to Ha Noi in January 2018, as well as the recent visit to the Vatican by H.E. Mr. Truong Hoà Binh, first deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, last 20 October, when he was received in audience by His Holiness Pope Francis.

During his stay in Vietnam, from 18 to 20 December, the delegation will also meet the bishops of the country who will be present in Ha Noi to take part in the Mass in which the new Metropolitan Metropolitan Archbishop of Ha Noi, the Most Reverend Joseph Vu Van Thien, will take possession of the see.
