The Holy Father Francis has suppressed the titular see of Strumnizza, following the creation of the eparchy of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Assumption in Strumnizza-Skopje for Catholic faithful of Byzantine rite resident in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

H.E. Msgr. Method Kilaini, auxiliary of Bukoba in Tanzania, currently titular bishop of the suppressed see, has been assigned the titular see of Tamalluma.
