Resignation of bishop of Wheeling-Charleston, U.S.A., and appointment of apostolic administrator sede vacante of the same diocese

The Holy Father Francis has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, United States of America, presented by H.E. Msgr. Michael J. Bransfield, and has appointed as apostolic administrator sede vacante of the same diocese H.E. Msgr. William Edward Lori, archbishop of Baltimore.
