Appointment of under-Secretary of the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life
The Holy Father Francis has appointed as under-Secretary of the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life the Rev. Sr. Carmen Ros Nortes, N.S.C., of the Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, currently official in the same Dicastery.
Rev. Sr. Carmen Ros Nortes, N.S.C.
The Rev. Sr. Carmen Ros Nortes, N.S.C., was born on 20 December 1953 in Espinardo in Murcia, Spain. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation on 19 January 1986 and gave her perpetual vows.
She obtained a diploma in theology, a diploma in catechetic pedagogy and a diploma in human sciences in Spain.
In 1985 she obtained a licentiate in theology, with a specialization in Mariology, from the Marianum in Rome.
She has held various offices in her religious Congregation, and has served as a missionary in South Korea.
She began service at the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life on 1 January 1992, and so far has held the post of study assistant. Within the same Dicastery she has performed various tasks, both in the office of Ordinary governance, life and apostolate, and in the office of Promotion and formation.
She is a teacher in the Studium of the same Dicastery.
She was the Dicastery’s special envoy at the VII Encuentro Latinoamerico y Caribeño de Vida Consagrada (Quito 13-17 October 2014).
