A letter was published today, written in Latin and dated 27 October, in which the Holy Father appoints Cardinal Fernando Filoni, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, as his special envoy to the consecration of the Cathedral of Karonga, Malawi, to take place on 5 November 2016.

The mission accompanying the cardinal will be composed of: Rev. Alick Sikwase, judicial vicar and parish priest of St. Michael in Karonga, and Fr. Simon Kwang Kyu Choi, S.M., born in South Korea and a member of the Congregation of the Society of Maria, the only religious priest and missionary present in the diocese of Karonga.
