The Holy Father has:

appointed Cardinal Luis Héctor Villalba, archbishop emeritus of Tucumán, Argentina, as his special envoy at the closing ceremony for the 50th anniversary of the diocese of Caacupé, Paraguay, in the shrine of Our Lady of Miracles on 8 December;

accepted the resignation from the office of auxiliary of the archdiocese of Hamburg, Germany, presented by Bishop Hans-Jochen Jaschke;

appointed Bishop Daniel Kozelinski Netto as bishop of the eparchy of Santa Maria del Patrocinio in Buenos Aires (Catholics 167,800, priests 20, religious 96), Argentina. Bishop Kozelinski Netto is currently apostolic administrator sede vacante of the same eparchy.
