The papal representatives, the members of the Vatican diplomatic corps, at the end of their meeting with Pope Francis in Rome from 15 to 17 September to celebrate the Jubilee of Mercy, launched an urgent appeal to “the international community and those who have the responsibility of government to work even more effectively to halt violence and resolve peacefully the conflicts in progress in various parts of the world”.

Likewise, they express “solidarity with all the innocent victims and with those who suffer discrimination and persecution due to their religious faith”, and raise a prayer to the Father of All mercies.
