Vatican City, 10 May 2016 – Yesterday, 9 May, the Holy Father Francis received in a private audience Cardinal Angelo Amato, S.D.B., prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, during which he authorised the Congregation to promulgate the following decrees:

MIRACLES

- Blessed Ludovico Pavoni, Italian priest and founder of the Congregation of the Sons of Mary Immaculate (1784-1849);

- Blessed Salomon Leclerq (né Guillaume-Nicolas-Louis) , French martyr, of the De La Salle Brothers (1745-1792);

HEROIC VIRTUES

- Rafaél Manuel Almansa Riaño, Colombian diocesan priest of the Order of Friars Minor (1840-1927).
