Si informano i giornalisti accreditati che, sabato 21 maggio 2011, alle ore 13.11, il Santo Padre Benedetto XVI si collegherà con l’equipaggio a bordo della Stazione Spaziale Internazionale (ISS). In particolare si rivolgerà ai due Astronauti europei di nazionalità italiana, Paolo Nespoli e Roberto Vittori.

I giornalisti accreditati potranno seguire il collegamento nell’Aula Giovanni Paolo II della Sala Stampa della Santa Sede. L’evento sarà in diretta televisiva ed in streaming nel sito Internet della Radio Vaticana - CTV.

Al termine del collegamento, i giornalisti potranno incontrare in Sala Stampa i rappresentanti dell’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, dell’Agenzia Spaziale Europea e dell’Aeronautica Militare Italiana: Enrico Saggese, Presidente ASI; Thomas Reiter, Direttore ESA, Voli Umani e Operazioni; Giuseppe Bernardis, Capo di Stato Maggiore AM, Generale di Squadra Aerea.

On Saturday 21^st May, at 1.11 p.m., the Holy Father Benedict XVI will connect with the crew on board the International Space Station (ISS). He will address in particular the two European astronauts of Italian nationality, Paolo Nespoli and Roberto Vittori.

Accredited journalists can follow the connection from Hall John Paul II in the Holy See Press Office. The in-flight call will be broadcast live and streaming on the Vatican Radio and CTV websites.

At the end of the connection, journalists in the Press Office will be given the opportunity to meet the representatives of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Air Force (AM): Enrico Saggese, President of ASI; Thomas Reiter, Director of ESA, Human Flight and Operations; Giuseppe Bernardis, Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force and Air Marshal.
