Press Conference of 1 February 2024

On Thursday 1 February 2024, at 11.30, in the Holy See Press Office, Sala San Pio X, Via dell’Ospedale 1, a press conference will be held to present the Message of the Holy Father Francis for Lent 2024, on the theme: “Through the desert God leads us to freedom”.

The speakers will be:

His Eminence Cardinal Michael Czerny, S.J., prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development;

The Reverend Don Andrea Cavallini, head of the Office for Catechesis of the diocese of Rome;

Professor Emilia Palladino, associate professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical Gregorian University;

Mauro Pallotta (aka “Maupal”), artist.

Press Conference of 2 February 2024

On Friday 2 January 2024, at 11.30, in the Holy See Press Office, Sala San Pio X, Via dell’Ospedale 1, a press conference will be held to present the first World Children’s Day, organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education, to be held from 25 to 26 May in Rome, and which will involve the participation of Pope Francis and children from all over the world.

The speakers will be:

- His Eminence Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education;

- Fr. Enzo Fortunato, coordinator of World Children’s Day;

- Professor Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Sant’Egidio Community;

- Maria Brunelli, Auxilium Cooperative;

- Aldo Cagnoli, writer (video contribution).

Maria Luisa Grilletta, director of Industrial Planning for Trenitalia, and Marco Capasso, architect and creative and multimedia director of World Children’s Day, will be present.
