Resignation and appointment of bishop of Barra do Garças, Brazil
The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Barra do Garças, Brazil, presented by Bishop Protógenes José Luft, S.d.C.
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Paulo Renato Fernandes Gonçalves de Campos, of the clergy of the diocese of São José dos Campos, parish administrator of São João Batista in Jacareí-SP.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Paulo Renato Fernandes Gonçalves de Campos was born on 11 January 1973 in São Paulo, in the archdiocese of the same name. He carried out his studies in philosophy at the Instituto de Teologia e Filosofia Santa Teresinha in São José dos Campos-SP and in theology at the Faculdade Dehoniana in Taubaté-SP. He was awarded a licentiate in fundamental theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, and a master’s degree in institutional relations in Brasília-DF.
He was ordained a priest on 20 March 2004, and was incardinated in the diocese of São José dos Campos.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar and then parish administrator of São Benedito in Alto da Ponte-SP; administrator of the quasi-parish of Nossa Senhora de Fátima; diocesan pastoral coordinator; parish priest of Coração de Jesus; rector of the Instituto de Teologia e Filosofia of São José dos Campos-SP; parish vicar of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro; professor in the School of Theology for the Laity, in the Diaconal School, in the Catholic Faculty of São José dos Campos-SP and in the Faculdade Dehoniana of Taubaté-SP; member of the team of formators of the diocesan seminary, and member of the College of Consultors and the Presbyteral Council.
Appointment of adjunct Promotor of Justice of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota
The Holy Father has appointed Mr. Domenico Teti, until now notary of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota, as adjunct Promotor of Justice of the same Tribunal.
