Meeting with Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication with journalists

Today, Thursday 28 September 2023, at 13.00, in the Holy See Press Office, Saint Pius X Hall, Via dell’Ospedale 1, the prefect of the Holy See Dicastery for Communication and chair of the Information Commission of the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, Dr. Paolo Ruffini, will hold a meeting with journalists for further information on the 16thOrdinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme: “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”, to take place from 4 to 29 October 2023.

The meeting with journalists will be livestreamed in the original language on the Vatican News YouTube channel, at https://www.youtube.com/c/VaticanNews.

Participation in person

Journalists and media workers who wish to attend must apply via the Holy See Press Office online accreditation system at https://press.vatican.va/accreditamenti, selecting the event: Sinodo: incontro con i giornalisti.

Simultaneous translation

Journalists and media workers admitted will receive a link to access the virtual platform and the simultaneous translation channels, in ItalianEnglishSpanishFrenchPortuguese and German.

 

Meeting with new Cardinals

On Thursday 28 and Friday 29 September 2023, in the Holy See Press Office, from 10.00 to 12.00, accredited journalists will be able to meet some of the new Cardinals to be created during the Ordinary Public Consistory to be presided over by Pope Francis on the parvis of Saint Peter’s Basilica on Saturday 30 September at 10.00.

The following is a list of Cardinals whose presence is confirmed on 28 September:

2. Archbishop Stephen BRISLIN

3. Archbishop Ángel Sixto ROSSI, S.J.

4. Archbishop Luis José RUEDA APARICIO

The following is a list of Cardinals whose presence is confirmed on 29 September:

Accreditation and participation procedures

Journalists and media workers who wish to attend must apply, up to 24 hours before the event, via the Holy See Press Office online accreditation system, at https://press.vatican.va/accreditamenti, selecting the event: “Incontro con alcuni dei nuovi Cardinali - Interviste”.
