RESCRIPTUM EX AUDIENTIA SS.MI
Considering the need to guarantee a more rational organisation of the economic and financial information of the Holy See, and to computerise the underlying models and procedures, so as to guarantee the simplification of activities and the effectiveness of controls, inasmuch as they are fundamental for the correct functioning of the Organs of the Roman Curia;
pending the function exercised for this purpose by the Office entitled the Data Processing Centre (CED), currently incardinated at the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See (APSA);
the Supreme Pontiff Francis
has ordered the following
1. Responsibility for the CED shall be transferred from the APSA to the Secretariat for the Economy (SPE), within the terms established by the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the first represented by the President, Bishop Nunzio Galantino, and the second, represented by the Prefect, Reverend Juan Antonio Guerrero, S.J.
2. the Officials and the Personnel employed by and assigned to the CED shall pass from the employment of APSA to the SPE, except those who, by joint agreement and for greater convenience, may remain in the dependencies of the APSA;
3. the Prefect of the SPE shall provide for the reorganisation of the service, guaranteeing to APSA what is necessary for the performance of its institutional tasks.
The Holy Father has established that the present measure be promulgated by publication in L'Osservatore Romano on 20 May next, coming into force on 1 June 2020.
