Due to the current health situation and its consequences for the movement and gathering of young people and families, the Holy Father, along with the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, has decided to postpone by one year the next World Meeting of Families, scheduled to take place in June 2021, and the next World Youth Day, scheduled to take place in Lisbon in August 2022, to June 2022 and August 2023 respectively.
